I never had a problem with installation. I tested with IE 8 and with the last version of Mozila 3.6 |

Look in your error logs and access logs and see if you can tell what's going on. You might also look in PHPmyadmin and see if any tables are getting installed. |

Did you download the current RavenNuke version ?
If there are errors you wiil see these directly at the bottom of the install file just scroll down. Maybe there are some limits through your host.
All my installations worked well. |

There are some old forum threads relating to max questions. There are workarounds but the real solution is to find a server that doesn't impose such tight limits. |

That should never be a "maybe". With such easy to use WAMP/LAMP distributions available, such as XAMPP, there really is no excuse for working straight on a production web site. Always do these locally first, get it all set up, tested and then move it up.
Regarding the limitations, any CMS or otherwise DB-intensive systems are going to just cause you tremendous pain with those. You get what you pay for... |

The problems you have is because of your host. You can control and correct some things through the php.ini file.
However, if you use Xamp all will work but after upload I suppose you will notice errors again. Therefore better look for an other host. Good luck ! |

To my compatriot moderators as well as theIdes ... even if he uses XAMP (and I agree that it's essential to have a local server setup running for testing) but even if he uses XAMP he is still going to need to do the actual table load on the production system. If he tried, say, dumping the tables on his local system and restoring them on the production server it would probably take more resources than just running InstallSQL.php.
I think we all agree 100% that if you are running into server resource limits like this at the outset you'd be better to move on. Raven, of course, offers great server services and prices but there are other good server providers also. Back in the dark ages I used IPOWERWEB and ran into the same resource issues theIdes is facing. You can find old Forum posts about workarounds but the best workaround by far is to find a host that doesn't have such low limits. |
