How does one put one image in the header of sand journey? Which will go the length of the site?

You will need to edit the theme.php file located here: \themes\Sand_Journey\

Can you confirm what sort of image you are trying to place in the header?

I png image as long wide as the page.

Sand Journey is not a fixed width theme, therefore are you planning on repeating the image to fit, or something else.
