creating a new block position

Has anyone created a new block position yet ? I want to add one beside my header. Could anyone offer an example ?

You might be better off hard coding it into your themes header instead of using a block. There would have to be changes to mainfile, blocks admin and all your themes to make a new block position.

Thats not good as i wanted to add it for the first theme from the site. Thats a HUGE no. Smile

Wanted to include a mega menu beside or below the header in a new block position as i am working on a Mega Menu as well for the theme like seen in some wordpress themes

you might want to check out the documentation relating to administering blocks in the rnwiki ...

The header area gets displayed by each theme before any blocks are shown, so as Nuken indicated you will need to modify your themes to do what you want.
