I hope this is the right place to put this question, I apologise if it isn't!

I initially created my pages with the editor turned off, but I found that whereever there was an & in my code, the system would delete it from the page when I updated the page, initially it seems to save, but its when the page is updated that the &s go missing, so attempts to get w3c validation means having to keep typing in the &amps all over again each time I update.

I then turned the editor back on, and all the pages validated, the design of my site looked fine on my system after doing this, but upon checking my site on my daughters laptop, I found that it had altered my design layout terribly! (I have another site with the same code which has the editor turned off and that still looked ok on my daughters laptop, so it can only be something the editor did). I have now turned the editor off again, and gone back to using my original code, so the layout looks perfect again, but I still have the &amp issue, so my question is how can I get the system to keep my &s in place with the editor turned off so I don't have to keep typing them in every time I update a page.

Thanks for any help with this Smile

Jane

Sounds like a bug, but it's difficult to tell where. Some questions:

Which version of RN are you using?

When you say pages, are you referring to the Content module?

Did you verify in the database that the & is missing after saving or is it being removed before displaying?

Have you made any modifications to the allowable HTML array in config.php?

I don't see how the use of the WYSIWYG editor affects the design layout. Did you check this on the laptop before?

What did you mean by going back to the original code?

The editor uses compliant code, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't use it. I would suggest looking into the layout issues - it sounds like there might be issues with the theme, probably the CSS.
