Module modification - gcalendar or total calendar

I need a modification done to either total calendar by sweetphp (where there is no longer any support) or the RN included Gcalendar.

I think the modifications to gcalendar would benefit a large number of nuke users as well. What I am looking for here is to have additional fields added to the module and a search function that can search events by any included fields. Specifically: change "location" to address, then add city, state, zip (postal code), contact name, contact email, contact phone.

If the modifications were to be made to total calendar, then only the fields need to be added and the included search function updated to include them. Total calendar is a great script as it stands for calendar function, but the lack of support and alot of it's included "skin" functions are a drag.

Anyone willing to help me out or suggest a event module that has all of his already included?

To look further at the Total Calendar option you'd want to first verify that the license would allow your mods and that you'd be free to redistribute them. I don't know the answer to that one way or the other.

Modifying Gcalendar would probably be the better option but unless you can coax Gremmie back it probably is a stretch. You'd need to modify the gcal_event table significantly and change all the edits and forms and write validation for the new fields. I think Gremmie may have had his own approach to validation within the module too. Then every program that accesses the location field of the event table would need to be modified to access the new set of fields instead.

And of course once you'd modified the module you'd need to be concerned to preserve your mods whenever a new version of RN came out.

I don't know of any other event module that works with RN. Perhaps others do. We are lucky to have one that works as reliably as the one Gremmie contributed.
