I did a search for this but im not sure if its a problem or a limitation.

The issue is that I can only program one article for a future date. If i add another the second one is posted immediately and the original one is still waiting for the date to arrive.

My newsarticles are published in home and everything else seems to be ok. like they appear when they are due to appear, it would just be good to be able to program articles to appear more than just one at a time, especially at times of holidays etc.

I would appreciate any suggestions if there are any.
Many thanks

I am not able to replicate this on 2.40.01 of RN (the current release). I did, however, forget on one story to click the "Do you want to program this story? - Yes" button, which would replicate what you are seeing.

Once again I'd concur with Mr. M. I did a lot of recent testing of news, especially the admin part, as part of getting RN 2.5 ready. I kept forgetting to do the "do you want to program the story" click also. For what it's worth, the programmed stories are stored in a separate table, autonews, from the "normal" stories. There is a mainfile routine called automated news that runs every time anyone loads a page. It checks the autonews table for stories whose time is "due" so to speak and moves any of them that are scheduled to start to the stories table and purges them from the autonews table.

If you have access to PHPmyadmin you can verify this behavior for yourself. Just watch the automated news table in one tab while you save a programmed story in another tab. Refresh the database tab after you save the story and you should see it in autonews.
