Go to Forums ACP--> General Admin--> Configuration--> System Timezone and set it to reflect the time you want. |

what about the time setting in "your account"
I went though this few days ago. changed it in forum admin and my account. (I also had to change time zone in php.ini to take me from PST to EST) |

What timezone would you like for the server to show? |

If the server is in Switzerland it should change automatically to (GMT +1) I believe
My server for example is in Amsterdam. So i have:
1 February 2012 23:46:38 CET (GMT +1) within the block.
You can change it in the block directly but your news and feeds will also have a wrong time. |

You can also change it in your root .htaccess by adding this to the top of it:
Code:
SetEnv TZ America/New_York
|
and that will set the server time to the selected timezone. |

Log in as admin, click on "Forums" in the admin panel. then click on "Configuration" on the left hand list. Scroll down to where you enter the time, zone, etc. and set it for your correct offset. |

If you have shell access on your server, login and at the prompt, type "date" no quotes, what is the result?
What I see:
Server Date/Time
3 March 2012 17:32:20 EST (GMT -5)
If you login to your server, is the time different? |

Is the server time actually correct? If so then there is a problem with your configuration on the web site. What is our OS, Windows, Linux or what? |

When you set the time to GMT +1 and save it, when you return does it change back to GMT -5 on the configuration page ? |

Does your database under bbconfig also show +1 for the board_timezone. |

Hmmm, by chance are you NOT using the standard issue block "User Info", a mod maybe? |

ssh into your server and at the prompt:
php -r "echo date('Y-m-d H:i:s');"
What do you get, is it the same if you type "date" ? |
