"Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form."
As above when users who access the site through there mobile phone and there phone network, they often get this error message when trying to post or private message.
Any idea why this would come up for these users on there mobiles ?
Thanks Mark |

I haven't had any issues with my Android phone. Forum/PM modules use cookie based sessions, so maybe they are having some issues with cookies? But, then again, they would have trouble logging in. Pure speculation that its cookie related. |

Has anyone else had this with any of there users getting this message only when trying to post or message using there mobile phone operators network.
It works fine from the exact same phone when switched to wi-fi, and also sometimes is a little inconsistent, as it "sometimes" works and will post if you hit the submit button again while the "Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form" is still shown at the top
Anyone else experienced this ? |

I have tested Iphones, Androids, Samsung Bada, Blackberry and Meego with RN and had no issues like this. |

I wander if this has something to do with uk phone networks as like I said this only happens when using the phone network and not using the wifi connection

When the phone is using the network, does it disable cookies? |

I am not sure ?, how would I check that? I will have a search around for that.
This is so strange though, as I logged in here on my phone with the phone network and it worked first time (I know this site does not use RN)
Yet I then go to another of my sites, and try the same thing and it gets the same message, yet when hitting the submit button again it allows the post to be made, and also what seems to be any other subsequent posts after that 1st message

Actually a "me too"- someone sent me a PM asking to change his email address- and he said he had the issue. I went to reply via my handset (Samsung Galaxy S2, o2 contract, can't remember if on 3G or not at the time) and I also received the "invalid session"- hence I did a search on here (sure I had something similar while testing the site prior to the upgrade to the latest version)
Anyway, I'll send him another PM back asking if it was his phone he was on at the time; I typically access using the same device, although often on wi-fi @ home, not on wi-fi when I'm having a smoke @ work.
I've got a HTC Sensation XL (will check if running the same droid version- I know that the HTC is "advising me" that ICS is available)- and I've got access to a Nexus that will be getting some testing soon. (Already running ICS).. so I'll try again when I get chance. Typically when I have the SGS2 on me, the HTC is with me as well.... |

I don't use a mobile phone device for browsing but it could potentially be a cache issue - maybe when connected through the phone network there is a different caching mechanism. |
