The clan members / technical experts who set up my clan's WEB site have move on and I was elected to help move the clan's site to a new WEB hosting service.

I'm needing help / guidance in doing this as my simple approach of copying the files and DB's were not successful.

I believe the site is running "NukeSentinel(Tm) 2.6.03: Enabled: Administration" as that's what is shown when accessing ....\admin.php

If this is not true how can I tell?

If I have the version correct, does the install still exist that I can download it?

My crystal ball is very cloudy.

I have never seen that you come directly to the sentinel administration when you only accessing the admin.php! You should get the admin main area with the overview of all admin/module functions.

Maybe you are trying to re-think what you have done and write it clearer with more details to your used RavenNuke version and what you have exactly done with your files and your database.

Did you get this error message and if so what errors were.

NukeSentinel is a security addon that is built into many distributions of Nuke-based CMSs, including RavenNuke.

It's possible that the site uses a different distribution that displays this information on the admin page.

Can you post a screenshot of the admin page with the URL removed?

I know what is the sentinel and i know also that NukeSentinel(Tm) 2.6.03 is only in RN since some years. Nice to see that your crystal ball is also cloudy ... Smile

Sorry, Neralex - that was intended for FFSparky.

I'm sorry for not providing much information, but the site is not revealing much and basically giving the impression it's "Distributed by Raven PHP Scripts" as that’s also on the bottom of most of the pages.

Here’s the Admin page:
Image

however thanks to your comments and some additional snooping I believe I can now confirm it’s a different distribution as kguske thought.

If you notice on the above screen shot at the top “Thanks For Purchasing This Theme, For Theme Support Please Visit” but no link following it, well after putting my mouse pointer to the left a link to http://www.clanthemes.com/ appears.

All I’m trying to do is save my clan some $ by hosting the site on my WEB hosting service as I had a spare domain available.

That said to detail exactly what I have done so far:

1) I have transferred all the files from the old web hosting service to my web hosting service.
2) I have taken the backup of the MY SQL DB and created / restored it on my WEB hosting service.
3) I edited the config.php file to use the new DB.
4) Repointed the DNS to my WEB Hosting service.

And then try to access the site only to get a blank page, and I get the same result for the admin.php.

So the “easy way” won’t work Rolling Eyes

Can my approach work? Are there some additional files I need to edit? I’m also suspicious on some of the paths as the old hosting site was Apache and my WEB hosting service is IIS.

Thanks again / in advance for your resonses!

This is what I think it could be interesting for anyone but specially for me. How did you backup and copy the files to your phpMyadmin?

I will give you some information maybe it could help you to solve your issues.

I use this tool BigDump Importer and I never got any problem.

http://www.bestbuildpc.org/downloads-cat30.html

I use FlashFXP client but there are some others like

https://filezilla-project.org/

Try to backup and upload the dbase again to see what is the result. Please give us more information.

FFSparky,
It might just be a different theme (rather than a different distribution - clanthemes makes RN-compatible themes), which could still explain why it displayed NukeSentinel information on the admin page (though I did not see it in the screenshot).

Blank pages are usually either caused by php errors or Apache configuration. Sometimes, you can find answers in the site's error logs in the root folder and in the control panel.

For PHP errors (assuming the software didn't change), the new site might use a new version of PHP that the software doesn't support. If the new host allows you to configure the PHP version and defaults to 5.4, switch it to 5.2. If this is the issue, you might wish to upgrade to RN 2.51 (or just continue to run on 5.2, though that isn't recommended as a long-term solution).

For Apache configuration, try renaming the .htaccess file in the root folder to see if you can access then.
