Username/ID storage question

Hello,

Not sure I'm going to adequately explain this, but I'll give it my best...

When someone registers on a site how does their username/pass get shared with the bb forums database? For example, when looking at the nuke_users sql file, the user is give an "user_id". And when looking at say a "nuke_bbpost_text" sql file, I do not see where it says "user_id". (I do see a bbcode_uid", but I don't know if they are related". Also in "nuke_bbposts" I see a "username" spot but they are all blank.

So how does the forum know who the user is when that user makes a new post?

The poster_id attribute of the _bbposts table identifies the user who posted. The _bbposts and _bbpost_text are linked through the unique post_id
