News not as default module??

Hey there,

I'm not wanting to have news be in the main page of the site. I'd like to simply have my messages there and then link to the news with perhaps a center news block. Can this be done? With the big warning in the modules administration page, I'm a bit leery.

Change it to anything you want. Create a module that has nothing in it and set it as Home.
