Site problems with MySQL server

Recently sometimes when I check my site I get a page that has the PHP-Nuek logo and says:

There seems to be a problem with the MySQL server, sorry for the inconvenience.

We should be back shortly.

Is this a problem on my end or on my hosts end?

I am running Nuke 7.2 with no mods and recently updated the forum to v2.10

Unreliable host probably.

That was added in 7.2 (possibly 7.1). It will be displayed anytime there is a connection problem with your MySQL server, as opposed to a cryptic text message. If you are receiving it consistently, try a database repair using phpMyAdmin. If that does not correct it, then contact your host as Ganja alludes to in his post.
