Sentinel caused some logon and session probs

Hello all well I will start by saying I have php-nuke 7.3 with chatserves 2.5 patches, I allso have Admin Secure 1.7 installed and running fine. I have Tellis userinfo and CZM modules menu thing as well from codewiz.com.

Ok here is what happened. Installed everything (Sentinel 2 RC5) fine but as soon as I put the include line in mainfile.php everything went to hell. Users were logged in and could post with their nicks in the forum however nuke had a hello guest prompt up and kept bringing you to a blank screen that said 'your home page'. You could log on and it would say for example Welcome FuZZyLoGic, but as soon as i would navigate away from the welcome page it would want me to login again. Clearing the cookies did not resove this problem either. This happened whether any protections were enabled or not. Also that ugly default nuke logon propt appeared in with the right side blocks, I dont know what caused that to pop up again, I have not used it in some time. Removing the include from mainfile,php fixed everything so something in sentinel is clashing with something I am running. Is this a known issue or the first you have heard of it?

* I should mention that this only seemed to affect user logon, admin logon was fine*

Please save your mainfile and then try the mainfile from Chat's 2.5. Also, have you made the changes to the Your_Account/index.php file as per the Sentinel README?

Thank you very much for the reply Raven. Well I used the chatservs 7.3 patched series when I originally installed. So I am not sure what good this will do, other than remove admin secure, and the speed hack which are the only edits that have been done to mainfile.php. I will try it anyways though and see what happens. Also yes my your_account index.php is correct not exactly as you had it in the readme but a variation of it. Although I did try to put it exactly as you had it in the readme and it still didint fix the problem. Here is how the your_account looks on mine.

Like I said whether it looks like above or as in the readme made no difference as far as my problem was concerned, I will try chats default mainfile and see what happens.

Ok when i tried to go back to chats original mainfile.php I could no longer axx my admin page, I think admin secure must not like it. I think the only way to run that dest would be to destall admin secure. Is that what you feel I should do next?

I don't want to be the one to tell you what you need to protect your site. I will tell you that I use nothing but Sentinel and I have no problems with Administration exploits.

Ok well I will try to destall admin secure and reinstall sentinel and see if there are still problems... If the problems go away we know that admin secure and the new sentinel do not play well together like they have in the past.

I will keep you updated.

mkay well uninsalling admin secure fixed this problem, I installed RC6 and am having no problems similar to this one.
