Evil or Very Mad How can that happen??????? And, now what?

Ok, they didnt hack the portal, just put 5 files in my main file. But, still, can someone tell me how they did that? Did they hijack my password????

Were you also using Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!

and did you remember to chmod the .htaccess file 666 so that Sentinel could write to it?

If someone added files to your web root, then they have probably used an exploit in another application of yours that allows uploading. I believe that either Gallery and/or Coppermine has known exploits. Sentinel, of course, nor any other application of this type, has any control over bad code in other applications.

Oh geez! I am using Coppermine but I've the latest version which was supposed to take care of a known exploit. Maybe there is a new one on the loose! Shocked

I'm such a newbie to all this and everyone's help here is awesome!

Yes to the one in the main nuke folder. However, this does not appear to be a Sentinel issue. My guess is the CM exploit.
