Sentinel™ cooks Turkish turkeys, but...

Sentinel™ has blocked repeated attempts by a couple of Turkish script kiddies. Their attempts to use different IPs with basically the same attack are laughable.

But, I did not have attacks on this site before installing Sentinel™. I do not display banned IPs or otherwise have any references to Sentinel™ on the site. So the question is: What led these punks to this site, or is this just a coincidence?

Sentinel can inform you of attacks towards your site so now you know each time someone tries anything, how did you keep track of attacks before adding Sentinel?

I used Hackalert, but I had neither notifications nor new/changed admins during that time.

The subject of the site is not something that would interest many outside the US, so it's probably a coincidence of one script kiddie getting blocked, and notifying his friend.
