Okay, I know it... look at the rank I chose... but what do I do with this function of Sentinel now? How do I ban a country? I did a search in the IP 2 Country listing for S. Korea, South Korea, and Korea and the only hit I got was a United States IP range. Why is that?

When you search the IP2C database you are to use an IP. If you give me a couple of days, provided teh thunderstroms gop away, I should have an update for the IP2C ready for the public that will be easier to use to block country ranges from.

Okay. thank you for your work! Do I add the ranges in the normal block IP range section of Sentinel?

Yes, you would copy the ip ranges from IP2C to "Blocked Ranges".

As an non-integrated approach in the interim;

Tested, used, no complaints.

Bob,

Thanks for the feedback.

FYI,

I'm updating/upgrading the Tool in more an advanced form today - i.e. after te enhancement, it'll need only (1) component to execute the flow for generating MySQL Banned Country IP Ranges;

* "ip-to-country.csv"

--> either all the items are generated or user "picks just the ones he/she wants
--> additionally, pointing 2C-Codes can be performed via external textilel (not necessarily needed though)

The USER will be also mailed with the VALIDATION summary (automagically configured in LINUX infra, no separate configs) as soon as the sript execution has been terminated - just from curiosity point of view.

I will verify the end results as per my lately upgraded version of NukeSentinel(tm) 2.1.1.

Starting from this upgrade, in order for people to be in synch with the possible future alterations of NukeSentinel(TM) Banned IP Country Ranges MYSQL format, I'll begin with using version numbering format that'll be visually syncronized to NukeSentinel official NEW RELEASES version numberings.
