I am really starting to hate Nuke 6.9 there are so many bugs that it is really making me mad.

When ever i post a story as admin it takes me to a blank white page with the /admin.php url in the addy bar. and i cant post any news at all and i dont know why.

this is my last effort at it i am going to become a nuke burnout real quick.

I and many others are running 6.9 w/o any issues. Theren't many true bugs. I know it can be frustrating, but most of these issues are configuration issues, sometimes PHP, sometimes, nuke, but more often than not, a combination of the two.

I had the same problem when I wanted to add admin users. It's attributed to an update I did to a table for the event calendar module. But I never finished implementing it.

Is there a module you installed that would modify the tables and didn't finish installing it?

I think I am going back to html. I can't win.

Just uploaded nuke 6.9 from Raven and . . . . where do I start.

Admin | Forums

When Admin and User Click on Forums (either from the menu or the admin block)

Code:
UTH_ADMIN: $result = $result || $is_admin; break; } $auth_user = $auth_user || $result; } } else { $auth_user = $is_admin; } return $auth_user; } ?>

There is no access to the forum administration screen. Tried changing themes and still no success

Code:
983

Could not get data from ignore table

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND user_ignore = 1643' at line 4

Line : /drive2/toobobs/public_html/dudeboot/modules/Forums/viewtopic.php
File : SELECT user_ignore FROM IGNORE_TABLE WHERE user_id = AND user_ignore = 1643

When clicking on Downloads the following is displayed on line one of the page.

Code:
wnloads = 25; $downloadvotemin = 5; $show_links_num = 0; ?>

No need to give anymore errors as I am done. I am going to bed.

This really bites!

If you are using a fresh install of the 6.9 files with your 6.5 database, make sure that you have run all of the upgrade scripts to the database in order. It sounds like you may not have run all the scripts or possibly they didn't take.

I ran all the scripts....

Ultimately, I deleted the database and recreated the tables using the nuke.sql and most everything works.

There are now errors with:

Downloads,
Web Links
Web Mail and a few others.

Before and after re-running the upgrade scripts.

The worst thing about this is, it seems the only way to get this working on my production site means I loose all data. This is not an option.

If I have to backup and upload each table individually I am going to save my site. If I can't, I am kissing nuke goodbye.

That says a lot for me as I am not a quitter, but my blood pressure is too high now to continue fretting over it.

Been using nuke since 6.0 and never had any problems until I started using the version I'm trying to replace.

When first started, and as recently as a few weeks ago, I thought they were the greatest, but now have come to the conclusion that using their version was the worst mistake of my life.

If I'd known the heartache it would cause, I would of stayed with phpnuke.org and never changed a thing.

Perhaps this can be resolved, but at the moment my doubts outweigh any optimism I once had.

First, I'd like to thank you for not replying to my last post.

This gave me a chance to really work through the site to find the problems being experienced since upgrading to Raven's 6.9.

The problems being experienced with

Downloads
Web Links

was due to my Modified Downloads and Weblinks. When upgrading I overwrote those files.

All fixed now...

The forums problem was also similar to the first.

I overwrote the modules directory, but did not remove the existing files which resulted in the 1064 errors.

All fixed now... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Most excellent to finally have a real working version of nuke running.

Many heartfelt thanks to you Raven!!!!!

Glad you made it home safely. Hope it was a nice trip.

Thanks a bunch.

The only thing left to verify is that the members that are having problems accessing the production. Actual User....

Have asked a few to go to the test site to be sure they can get in o.k.

I really doubt there will be problems since your package fixed a myriad of other problems being experienced with ******** 6.5. Laughing
