I upgraded seninel from 2.0.2 to 2.1 and now i can't get in because the http auth password and username changed. How do I fix this? I went into the database and "nsnst" tables in the database and did a clean install but it is still locking me out. What do i do? |

schrags11,
In phpMyAdmin, find nuke_nsnst_config. Then change the http_auth to 0 (zero).
Then once you are back in your site, go to the NukeSentinel™ admin panel, and click on Admin Auth List. You should see your admin name there. On the far right, click on the Edit icon. The screen will change, and allow you to set the password for that admin account.
I am only going to be online for 30 minutes or so, just let me know if it didn't work. |

Okay, please explain in as much detail how you installed/upgraded to include any other modules you installed that maybe interfering and your PHP-Nuke version.
I test it with PHP-Nuke 7.0 thru 7.5 with CS's Patched 2.6 installed first. |

I have nuke 7.0. I uploaded all of the new files for 2.1 and replaced the 2.0 files then ran the nsnst.php file and did a 2.0.2 to 2.1 upgrade. Then it said that the http auth had been changed and to go into the admin panel and make new settings or something like that. Then i tried to go to the admin panel and the http auth box popped up and my old username and password did not work. |

You have to click "Scan for New Admins" then under the Sentinel settings you will see this:
Admin Auth Login Auth Password Protected Functions
Under the functions menu click the "Edit" image. Then type in your password. I found this after having the same problem. |

Yes, I should of mentioned that I had to uninstall the tables, then re-install, then do as described before exiting your admin section. It worked for me that way. I'm still lookin for the ip-to-country.php file |

Now let me ask you this, did you rename sample.htaccess to .htaccess and upload it as well? If you did you'll never get in because the sample htaccess file has the sample code for CGIAuth which is server level auth. If you did so open the .htaccess file and remove the:Code:# -------------------------------------------
# Start of NukeSentinel(tm) admin.php Auth
# -------------------------------------------
<Files .staccess>
deny from all
</Files>
<Files admin.php>
<Limit GET POST PUT>
require valid-user
</Limit>
AuthName "Restricted"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /path/to/your/.staccess
</Files>

I followed Bob's latest post and things work fine now. However, I would like to add server level auth component. My host has php compiled as CGI. I take it now that Ive added myself to the Sentinels list of admins I can add this script back to my htaccess file and then add the staccess file to make it work? |

First upload the .staccess file and CHMOD it to 666. Goto NukeSentinel's main admin panel and make sure you have Admin Auth: set to Admin CGIAuth. Then goto admin.php?op=ABAuthList and there should be a link with a label of Build CGIAuth file:. Click that link which will then store the CGIAuth aid's and passwords into the .staccess file. Then you can add the code above back into your .htaccess file |
