Avatars deleted when switched?

Hello. I am having issues with avatars being deleted.

1st of all, I actually removed the check box in the profile that says delete avatar Very Happy

Now this is what happens. Users can select avatars...fine, but if they go into their forum profiles, and change the avatar, the new one appears for them, but the old avatar gets removed.

I mean, it actually gets removed from the FTP. I actually have to go upload it to the server again. Why is this doing it, and what can I so to stop it.
