do you have a .zip instead of .jar I use winzip to unzip and it will not unzip it. says its an invalid zip file.

I think Raven said its an XP SP2 issue that comes up for some people but not all. I don't know what exactly brings it out. Or what will fix it.

its say error readin header after processing 0entries kinda acts like the zip file is empty.

ok cool i unzipped it and installed it but theres a few things that dont work like:
ip to country
admin Auth list
scan for new admins
database maintenance

I tried clicking on the little ? but all it does is load a blank page
and in the admin list
Admin Auth: You MUST set ALL admin passwords before activating HTTPAuth or CGIAuth!
MUST is a link all it does is load a blank page

Any suggestions?

Sounds to me like corrupted files upon FTP upload. Its happened to me many times. You need to make sure that these files are uploaded with ASCII option and NOT Binary. Hope that is all it is... If it helps, I have Win XP SP2 and downloaded Sentinel 2.1.3 from the download link at this site and successfully installed it about 2 weeks ago. So, unless something has changed in the download (doubtful), I think it is a good one.

Another thing to check is that you didn't have FTP failures. Maybe try to re-upload. I have also seen folks forget a step or two in the installation instructions and get "wrapped around the axle". Every instruction is an important instruction. Smile

thanks I read all the instructions befor i started then followed them step by step.
no ftp errors but the ASCII/ Binary I will have tp reupload to make sure

Yeh sometimes odd extensions aren't in the default list for ASCII but otherwise double check your edits for the java maybe you missed something there.

oh yea dled sentinal again and unzipped it with winrar
theres no install file or anything no help files for the little ? just the file structure

Its slightly out of date but it adds to the greater understanding of it all.

what if sentinal doesnt see you as a God Admin?

Have you changed the name of the God admin? If so there is a place in the files where it can be changed to see any superadmin.

In includes/sentinel.php
Find function is_god($admin) {

there is a line commented out //if((strtolower remove the comments and put them in front of the line below it.
