this may very well be the ultimate noob question but i gotta ask. when i click on 'banned ips' in the content block i see this-- There are currently no IP addresses in the database. also my scrolling sentinel block is empty.

my question is, doesn't sentinel come with like hundreds of preset blocked ips from know bad guys, do i need to turn something on?

No. That would be a mistake, imo. Since many, if not most, of the hacking attempts come from people with dynamic ip addresses, they are constantly changing, so a list is mostly useless. NukeSentinel will write to the database automatically and will write to .htaccess if told to do so and the file exists and is writeable.
