How do you make your own theme?

I wanted to get started with making my own theme's with nuke and refuse to pay the BS price for autotheme. If anyone could please help me out with themeing that'd be great.

I've been unsucessful in finding any tutorials.

The best advice that I can offer you it to take a theme like deepblue or another default one and begin to edit it. this will teach you the way that the different elements work. Just take your time and you should get the hang of it. To explain how to actually create a theme is a very complex thing. Far to complex to explain in a forum. There is a theme tutorial here

thanks i'll give those tutorials and whatnot a shot. I can edit theme's no problem but creating them isn't 100%
