downloads system requirement or already available

hi folks hope this is around or can be done i have looked about but to no avail

the downloads system will be a huge part of our site what i want is that the member can upload there files and also include a picture then will appear in that file download and then others can download the file now with each file if possible a rating system that the users who tried the file give the uploader with a few catagory like presentation/look/gameplay/ect/ect marks upto 10 shows stars or somthing maybe

on the front page of the site towards the bottom showing several of the downloaded files and pictures but changes as others upload there files to the downloads section.

i really hope you understand this lol after reading it it;s the best explanation i can give really sorry

so is this around already or can this be done and if so what would be the costing for this

It sounds very much like the bog standard download module in Nuke.

You could also have a look at NSN Downloads, from http://www.nukescripts.net .

hi jakec thanx for responding

went to that link saw the nsn download will it still work it's over 2 years old dated march 2005 is there a demo also of it could not find it on there went to php nuke dam annoying site to many popups

besides this site is there also other nuke sites around with uptodate mods and an active forum starting to get the inpression that nukes a dead thing most sites are so way out dated and info years old and sadly non active

I have found some small bugs in NSN GR Downloads but it works.

Nukescripts uses it in their downloads section, so I guess you could call that a demo. Also I believe Montego and Guardian both use NSN Downloads so you could have a look at their sites. Wink

yer i tried the nsn one wuld not even start the installer got some call errors on the install script not really aswell if thats the download system i wanted i think this is more of a custom job i want for this as to the requirements

i registered on your site Susann
my germans not to clever sorry but what i can make out think i am awaiting validation thanxs for the info

so any ideas what this would cost to make the downloads system with the added features i need

Its not my own site I´m only Moderator there but anyway hope you can use one of the downloads module and I´m quite sure Coldcut wich is the owner will help you with any problems by installing.
But related to the NSN GR downloads I had no problem to switch over with my standarnd nuke downloads module to NSN GR downloads and that was indeed my greatest sorrow.

To make the downloads module the way you want it you should better ask in the for hire forum I think.
