user-friendly upload_download module search

I'm using PHP Nuke Platinum and have been adding downloads (with the "out of the box" download module) for my users without a problem. I've also experimented with UploadIt.

I'm essentially looking for a cross between these two modules. Users should be able to upload a file - just like in UploadIt - and those uploads should go into specific folders. Admins should have to approve the uploaded files.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried download_upload 1.0 but am not sure it's Platinum compatible. Thanks

Another solution beyond Advanced Downloads is the "My_Uploads" application which I have used on my domains in the past. It is Platinum compatible.

In a nutshell, it creates a dedicated directory for each user (you define the size). From the administration screens, you can see what each user has uploaded, (and when) to their personal directories and can also restrict what file types can be uploaded (to protect yourself!). For example, they can't upload .php, .html, .ini, .exe, etc... types of files so they can't malicously execute anything that could do you harm.

Whenever a new user registers, the directory is created automatically so you don't need to worry about those aspects of it either.

Personally, I like My_Uploads, but I've come to rely more an more on Advanced Downloads which seems to do the trick for me.
