Hi, I installed nsn groups and html newsletter a couple weeks ago on my test site. I have since made some groups and started to add users to them (via the edit groups in admin section. One thing I noticed is that it does make the user group in the phpbb. . As in you can click on forum, look at usergroup. However it does not drop the person into that user group. I can see the name of group, description but when I add someone via the edit group admin it does not drop the person into the usergroup via the forum/usergroup. Is this normal?

If you are talking about adding them from phpBB no they will not add them into the NSN Groups. That was not coded into the system.

No, I add users in through the admin/edit groups ie.. nsn group admin interface. The problem comes when I log into forums and click the usergroup tag and look at a user group it does not show the members I add. It only shows them added to the nsn group which doesn't make sence to me. If I look under forums/usergroups it does show the name of usergroup and description but shows no one as being inside it. So for setting permissions it has me worried that something is not correct.

Well I installed one of the compilation nukes with all the nsn mods in. Looks like it does the same thing so it must be correct. Just seems odd that names would not show up in the user group thought that was the ponit of nsn groups.

What version of NSN Groups are you running? The phpBB wasn't added until version 1.6.x .

I think I understand what you mean now. Just went and looked thru the phpBB Groups system and no NSN Groups does not add a display in phpBB that shows all members in a selected group. That is done only in hte NSN Groups admin.

Yeah bascially what was confusing me is you don't set the permissions with nsn groups. Just the groups themselves. So when I was going to set permissions for diffearnt forums etc it threw me off.
