I dont know if anyone can help, I had nucalendar working on a site that was php nuke ver 7.7, but I have had to upgrade to 7.9 (i know, i know, seen all the problems that people are saying about it, but it seems to be working ok for me).
basically no one can post anything on nucalendar!?! not even me and I am god user!
it lets you put thing in and when you click to submit it just brings up the same page, and when I check the calendar, nothing, and there is nothing in mysql as well.
Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks

Have you checked your server error log? Make sure that display_errors is on in your php.ini or .htaccess file to reveal any errors. |

Not to be condesending, but I guess that 7.9 isn't working out all okay after all?
It's the new filtering functions. They won't work with legacy modules. The bottom line is that your data is most likely getting converted and dumped.

well everything else is working fine on it, its just this calendar that is working but not taking in the details that are put in.
There are no errors coming up on my server, if I try adding one through (not in admin) it comes up saying that its been accepted and will be looked over etc... but checking the admin section and the db there is nothing in it???
it looks to me that the information it not being sent to the db, but I dont know where to look to see how to fix it (I am not very good at programming) |

I don't know how else to put this. Don't use PHP-Nuke 7.9 because it simply has far too many problems to go into here. There is a default incompatability with legacy modules. |

The problem I have is that the site is on 7.9 and its live, I cant just drop it and go back to 7.9. So my question is, is it fixable to get the calendar working again?
If it is I will look into it (i dont know what I am doing but i will try).
If not is there another calendar system out there?
Thanks

Sorry to hear that.
There is a downgrader at http://www.nukescripts.net to bring domains back to 7.6, I suggest that you seriously consider using it.
As I mentioned, there are far too many security and other major problems with 7.9 to go into here but they have been addressed in many other posts and in news articles at every single Nuke Support site out there. If you want to risk using 7.9 even after the fact that every support domain has said not to use it, there's nothing I can do about that; however, due to the nature of data manipulation functions of 7.9, unfortunately, without completely recoding this module, there's not a heck of a lot anyone can do. This also goes for many other modules as well. I now know of 6 different modules that won't run under 7.9 from my own testing and yeah, NuCalendar is one of them (you'll see it running on my domain too).
So in closing, DON'T USE 7.9 and that will solve your problems... all of them.

You MUST upload the PHP-Nuke 7.6 files to your server for the downgrade to be complete.
What am I doing wrong, I have uploaded all the files? |
