I have 7.9 patched and latest sentinel runnnig.
I have configured it all and i went to test it with the :
http://yourdomain.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&/**/union/**/
here I get redirected to the correct black page but no ip is getting added to .htaccess (666 permission).
admin gets email with the taken action, reason, ip, full deal...etc
in sentinel config i have set the following under Union:
Activate: email admin
Write to htaccess: yes
Forward To:
IP Block Type: 1.2.3.4
Default Page: Union
Email IP lookup: Off
Reason: Abuse-Union
Block Duration: Permanent
What am i missing?sentinel configuration worng?
thx |

Are you signed on as an administrator or using a protected IP? |

I have not set any protected IPs and I did it from 2 diff broswers: my regular, firefox, as admin and then IE, as anonymous, with all cache empty.
Same result.
Does sentinel automatically add the admin address to the protected?
i will check that too - "There are currently no IP ranges in the database"
thx for the reply. |

I do believe that in my last fresh install of Sentinel 2.4.2 that it automatically set up the God admin as protected. |

Yes, to run the Db installer you have to be logged in as Admin as you do when changing some of its settings, so it should grab your IP and add it to the protected range automatically. |

There are currently no IP ranges in the database, nor at excluded or protected.
I have tried from a friend, diff ISP, same result.
I get the email, the black page and then i can surf no problem!!
i have double checked htaccess file, np there!, permissions, OK!
blah, i dunno anymore. |
