Right Blocks & Phpbb Display Problem

Hello Everyone-
This problem has been plaging my site for the past few weeks, any help anyone can give would be fantastic! I installed nuke 7.8 and the forums that go along with it, I then turned on a few right blocks and noticed that the right block panel didnt display on the phpbb forum system. So I asked around and found the answer was to easily add in:

$index=1;

line to the beginning of each file. That seemingly did the trick, but it then came to my attention that the right block panel started next to the page header, no like the left block panel which started under the header file (as it should). Then Upon further inspection I noticed a few of the custom blocks (calendar one specificly) did not show data on them. I've tried almost everything I can think of. I'm using the smartdark theme and have added the code I posted above to all the pages that the forum uses in the modules/Forums/ directory. Any ideas anyone might have would make me the happiest person alive! Thanks in advance!!

Try a different theme to see if you have the same problem. Use DeepBlue as that's a good standard. If it works ok in DeepBlue then it's a theme problem.

Thanks for the reply, I just went through and changed the theme a few times, and each time on the phpbb forum the right blocks start next to the header instead of under it, and the calendar (4nalbum module to be exact) wont show the events on the monthly block/view. Any ideas? I'm totally at a loss and it's making my site look out of place. Thanks again for the help so far.
