Spam in forums with no anonymous posting allowed

Hello all,

I am a nuke noob, so bear with me please. I have a site with 8.0 patched. I have anonymous/guest posting turned off but for some reason it seems spammers can still get their crap in there as a guest.

I must be missing something - any help would be appreciated.

You might want to check your site log to see how it's happening. That will help find a solution quickly.

You set the forums permissions to Registered Users Only ?

I am not even sure if my site has a log. I don't see any in my admin panel or in the forum admin.

The logg being referred to would be the control panel logg.If you have cpanel, check your error log to see if there are any problems. What version of phpbb are you using?

This can help as I've seen a few problems in certain versions allowing anonymous to post where it was set to not allow them to post.

As usual, Evaders hits it right on the head. All but one of my forums was set to registered. For some reason one was public and that was the one getting spammed.

I swear I checked that - but I guess not.
