Greetings...

1st of all - I have just installed this script today & I LOVE it! Excellent work & thanks for sharing! Smile

I do have a couple of questions as this script relates to the phpbb forum profile, as well as the admin>user admin>management function of the Forums admin area. I apologize in advance if these ??'s sound a bit pedestrian - I am still teaching myself php as I go...

1. How can I call the info from my added fields in CNB to show (or not, according to my choice in admin panel) in the user's forum profile?

2. How can I allow myself to admin these fields from the admin>user admin>management function area of the phpbb admin panel (in addition to the main nuke user admin - a duplicate of the info, I guess is what I mean)?

3. Or, DUH... is this done already in an integration file I have overlooked on this website?

Thanks in advance for any feedback on this... I had previously installed AddFields (which did the above), and would like to require/store this same information through the CNB Your Account before I remove the call of this info from my admin pages code for reference to the user's info.

BTW - you can see your script at work on my support group website: http://www.istepfamily.com - thanks so much for sharing!

Best,
Nikki

Currently we don't have any forum integration consider us the anti forum profile for now. Will we later? I don't know we haven't dicussed it beyond working the avatar and signiture out a little better.

Truth is we plan for this to be that good you'll never want to see the forum profile again lol! We may be able to work forum stats into the profile via the /includes right now I've been working on some simple stuff with Coppermine. But the possibilities are endless when it comes to what content is displayed and only limited by the skill of the user.

Addfields is very nice but its a lot of work to integrate into phpbb in that way with the templates ect... if you really want to it wouldn't be real hard and I'm sure someone will work it out eventually but I know it won't be me anytime soon.

LOL! I look forward to that, let me tell ya! lol I am up for scheduling a little manual data entry to move the info from the old fields table to the new CNB one & scrap the old calls from Addfields altogether... with the above in mind, I am comfy doing that now...

Thanks for your thoughtful response - much appreciated!
Best,
Nikki

The last post in this topic was last year, is there yet any way to put my added fields in the profile to show it to all of the other users?

I believe the Add Fields mod does what you want. It is available as part of the Approve Membership mod

Try this:
http://www.platinummods.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1136

It only works for the forum profile so you will have a disconnect between YA and the forum profile. But it is much more flexible. This is why it ended up in Evo.
