CNB YA 4.4.0.b2 Waiting Users Don't Expire

I wonder if anyone here can verify if a bug exists in CNB YA 4.4.0.b2 related to expiring prospective members in the Waiting Users status that never verify their passwords and accounts. I had set the expiration window to 10 days in the Users Configuration table. From what I can tell that function does not seem to be working on my installation. The expiration date passes but the accounts remain in the Waiting User status - no alert as far as I can tell. I would have expected that they would have been automatically deleted. checking after 15 days and they are still there! Is this a know problem ??? If so... is there a fix ??? I'd like to get this feature to work in 4.4.0 b2 since I have modified it heavily and want to avoid having to do all the mods again.

yes its a bug,i had it....look in the cnbya forum here cause if im not mistaken when i posted the problem the fix was also posted...

Not sure it really has a solution in the thread... (I would have thought that once the waiting time has expired that some action would occur automatically.... like delete the pending user since they may have aborted fully registering at the site. I give them 10 days to get to their email to complete the registration. If they can't do it in 10 days then they should re-register....)

As it stands now I manually re-send them a request then wait a few days and if nothing heard I nuke them (no pun intended). I will check through this thread again, but I think it is refering to a different issue. Thanks for the lead... Smile

Thanks... in the meantime if I find it on my end i will post back here as well. I have tried a number of different search words and coming up short so far. I assume you were the initiator of the thread so I will look though all your posts... all 700+ of them Smile

Yep... I saw this one... thanks. If you have the script working let me know, I would like to try it.

Eventually when 5.0 is ready I will make an effort to use BeyondCompare2 (File comparison program) and update to the latest rev CNBYA and port over my mods checking file by file to port over any mods I have made.

If you know what file / area of the code in the file set sixonetonoffun is checking I will go over it myself as well and see if I can spot the problem.

well if i never touched it for other things i could give it to you ,but mine is edited for numerous scripts...so it isnt compatible with yours..
