hi,

im helping someone out getting his forum in shape and working properly.
its for 99% okay now but one thing left...

whenever he replies with a Apostrophe like.. can't
Then it results in an error showing:

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 't')' at line 1

message_die(GENERAL_ERROR, 'Error in posting', '', __LINE__, __FILE__, $sql);

Line : 282
File : functions_post.php

But one time its line 282 and the other time its 284
Its a clean forum module with clean includes folder as well.
Based on 2.0.17 and patch 3.0
And idea what causes this?

ok this is solved, added $message = addslashes($message);

why it was needed is not known.

I just tried two separate installations, one with 7.5 3.1 and 7.6 3.1 and both worked just fine. So, I wonder if the 3.1 patchset fixed this. And, by the way, it was two completely different themes as well.
