Patched 7.6 and NSN news 2.0 prob

I have the patched 7.6 with the latest nsn news rc 2.0, with cnb your account 4.42 among other addons.
the problem I am having is it only displays the news properly to anonmyous users, Like if you choose to display only 3 stories it works right for anon users but when logged in it shows them all . At first I thought it may have been an issue with cnbya so I took it off one site I work on and still the same problem. I went step by step over installation and editing to no avail.
Sorry if this is wrong forum, I hope someone can help me with this.

j_felosi, were you ever able to get this working? If not, you may want to try the final version of the 1.x series. I am not sure that Bob ever released a final stable 2.x version.
