Quick Question on Upgrading 7.5 to 7.6

I am working on a friends site for him and It needs to be upgraded due to problems with 7.5 patch 3.1.

I need to know if I need to upload the sql file or not...(?)

I am assuming not since the site already has a data base.

Also would an upgrade fix a problem with forum admin page not showing (?), it shows a blank page after the 3.1 patching...no one has been able to figure out why at this point.

If I recall correctly pdoobepd, the blank admin page has been address here. Try doing a search for this and see if you can find it. I would before you do an upgrade that may have the same problem due to a conflict that already exists.

I see....I did a forum search using admin page blank after patching and there is 15 different pages of posts. Maybe one of these could help if you haven't tried them already.

What package are u using to upgrade the 7.5 version? Most of the time I have used them there is a upgrade.php of some type that makes the necessary changes in the exitsting DB, or there is a sql file in the upgrade version to do that.
