FoxMail 5.5 is officially only released in chinese but I found this site where they are providing eglish lang fix for it.
http://www.hazeleger.net/special/index.htm
Pretty great of them to do that and add a couple nice fixes besides. Kills splash screen and fixes some other issues. |

Its just a nice windows replacement for OutLook as a mail reader. I like it because the default view is text only html can be toggled quickly if desired. Seems a lot more secure overall.
I guess if one is using Outlooks planning calender they wouldn't want to change over but... its another option. |

Hi!
May I introduce myself? My name is Dick Hazeleger, and I am one of the two admins of the English Foxmail forum at Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!.
Since I am also webmaster there, I noticed links refering to this page, and I decided to have a look... I sometimes do!
Uhm, FoxMail 5.5? You must be ahead in time ;D it is actually 5.0, build 800.0. We see FM more like a replacement to Outlook Express but if you use Outlook and want to have a good calendar program running instead of using the bulky MS product, I can strongle advise you to have a look at Ulrich Krebs' UK-Calendar program - which BTW is freeware - available at: Only registered users can see links on this board! @Raven: I think you did miss something, I would like to hear the opinion of an "outsider" (no offence ment), since we are all very biased regarding FoxMail.
BTW: FoxMail is not perfect, we do realize that, and two brilliant young programmers have written a few additions to FoxMail: FoxTool and FMFR (FoxMail Folder Rearrangement), which are also available from the above mentioned "Special Downloads", and for which we proudly host support forums as well...
Have a look at these as well!

Hi @ all,
when i was searching again about new freeware products, i did found this email program. i was very suprised about this programm with the functionality. i was search for an good alternativ email-program that allows me to preview the mails in ASCII and also to take a look to my Mailbox without to download the emails (remote view of the Mailbox).
So it is possible to erase Mails directly at the mailbox or to let check automaticly about spammails in remote-mode.
i use foxmail since the version 4.
the latest version 5 (build 800.0) gots more functionality then 4 and is very stable.
by my side i can tell at all to try it out.
best regards

Dick,
I actually did try FM out after that post last year but never posted back - I apologize. I had a major issue with it but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. I will give it another try and report back. |

Anyone know if you can somehow use a different spell checker than the one that comes with it? |
