I'm currently using v2.02.00 and I'm about to upgrade to v2.02.02, but before I do this I wanted to backup my site.
In the Admin panel when I click on the Backup DB option the server is returning an error 500: Internal Server Error.
Does anybody know what is causing this?
Thanks in advance

Maybe something related with your hosting service.
I have the same problem on one site, while the other on a different hosting is fine.
I'd use phpMyAdmin instead.

Yes, anything "500: Internal Server Error", according to Raven (an EXCELLENT web host), is 99.99% an issue with the web host.
However, with that said, the core nuke "Backup DB" option has known issues with nuke sites of larger sizes (I have no idea what the "cut-off" would be).
As guidyy has mentioned, I, too, only use phpMyAdmin to backup (export) my databases. |

Thanks for the quick reply guys.
I thought that may be the case.
I've never really used phpMyAdmin, apart from uploading databases. This is my first site and it's only been running for a few days, so haven't needed to backup.
Under Export in phpMyAdmin there are loads of tick boxes etc. what should be ticked and what settings should I be using?
Thanks again

I usually leave everything is set by default
I just check Drop Table
and the Gzip (or zip) compression when saving the dump file.

As guidyy has said, I take the structure and data but make sure I check the Drop Table. The only thing different is that I do not take the gzip, but my site is small yet. |

Once again thanks for the quick reply.
I've backed my database up now, so I will have a go at upgrading.
What about doing it automatically?
I recall seeing a post a while back discussing how to do this using a Cron job, but I haven't been able to locate it. Not sure if it was here, or at NukeCops.
Thanks
