New users that want to register will not get the email activation email. This happens only when I have the Security Code set for checking on both registration and login. If I set it to no checking the email get sent. Also the new user will not show in the waiting users.
I also have a problem when I allow user email change with Validate Email Changes set to yes the email will not be sent and the user can not change email. This happens with security code on or off.
I am using CNB Your Account 750 4.4.0 final with PHP-Nuke 7.6 pached 2.9.
I also have Site Info Block Used Here - phpnuke v6.5 - v7.4 installed. Do not know if this is the problem.
What can I do to fix this? |

Strange. Check your CNB Your Account configuration - if you have auto activate on, new users won't show in waiting users. If you have the configuration set to not send email, new users can be activated without email. I'm not sure what the security code has to do with it.
I'm almost positive the Site Info block has no impact on this.
Unfortunately, the resident CNB expert is missing... |

I'm having similar problems. I have
Email Options
Server can send mail? Yes
Notify Admin of User Registration:Yes
Notify Admin of User Deactivation:Yes
Use Email Activation?Yes
Allow User Email Change: Yes
Validate Email ChangesYes
However, it does not send out emails and when I go to the admin, I try resend they still don't get it, I have to manually activate them. |

It would be nice if there was a way to activate error trapping on email. But there are all kinds of potential reasons for not receiving email. It could be that a spam blocker is preventing it at some point. Or, the email settings could be incorrect. Either way, it would be nice if you could test it and receive some sort of error message. As it is, you'd need to modify some source code to see if any error messages are received. |

The only thing I know is that the day before - doing a test new account before CNBYA, it worked fine. Then after I installed it, nothing. I wish there was something. I did get an error message with the gfx check, but it never worked |

I am having the same problem also, I check the lines in mainfile.php and they are fine. Here is a weird part also (that shows my server can send emails) I have it set to nofity (not approve) admin of new registrations which I get the emails just fine. However no matter what I change other then turning off email activation new users will NEVER receive the Activation Email! I have tried on test accounts and multiple email addresses that I know to work, no matter if the security code is set to check all or none it still does not work. Any help would be appreciated. |

I am also having this problem. I currently have the Security code check turned OFF. If I turn it on, the activation email will not get sent and the data entry in the nuke_users_temp table will will not get updated after a new user registration. Is anyone working on a fix for this or am I missing a patch or somthing?
Here is what I am running:
Allow User Registration: Yes
Require Admin Approval: No
Allow User self-deactivation: No
Doublecheck email at registration: Yes
COPPA Compliance Required: Yes
Show Terms of Service [TOS]: No
Show TOS to members as well: No
Email Options
Server can send mail? Yes
Notify Admin of User Registration: No
Notify Admin of User Deactivation: No
Use Email Activation? Yes
Allow User Email Change: Yes
Validate Email Changes: Yes
Allow User Theme Selection: No
Use Security Code? No Checking (was set on Registration Only)
I am using the following:
CNB Your Account 4.4.0
NUKE 7.6 patch 3.1
Apache2Triad version 1.4.4
Apache version 2.0.55
MySQL version 4.0.26
PHP version 4.4.2
Path to PHP C:/apache2triad/php/bin/php.exe
Ability Mail Server v2.52

CNB-YA has a site for reporting problems. Can't remember where off the top of my head, but that's a pretty specific scenario. They are currently working on the 5.0 release of CNB, but it's been that way for a long time...not sure when the next beta will be released or when it will finally be implemented. |
