Just wondering, is there anyway that I can create sub forums within forums in phpBB? I have heard that this is possible. Any Ideas?
Thanks.

There is a mod for it at phpBB dotcom, but it has to be ported for Nuke. It's a -huge- mod, one of the biggest you'll run into. It's a bit easier to port since FB changed things like user_id and username, but nonetheless, there's still quite a few issues in it that you'll have to modify. I modded it for 6.5 back about a year and half ago, but since then the author of the mod has made significant changes to it, so my modded files are no longer valid. Sorry I can't be of much further help... it's big chore so I can't spend the time for free to port it again. Download the mod and have a look... maybe you can nail it.

To be honest, I have no knowledge of PHP. I just know how to find and edit lines Razz.
However, I have come across something... It's an integration of standalone phpBB into phpnuke. I don't know much about it, but here is the site:
http://phpnuke.nukedgallery.net.

Im not good at PHP, so I wouldn't really know what it is about entirely. Doesn't seem to be any mention of intergration into phpnuke 7.6 Confused. There seems to be a lot of editing to do, but If it is adaptable, im guessing the subforum mod can be applied to the standalone phpbb, which hopefully is easier Confused. Again, im not that experienced, just wanna know what you guys think. Is it really worth it?
Thanks.

Adding the sub-forum mod to phpBB is equally hard on the standalone version and on Nuke so it would make more sense adding it to the ported one.

Gallery is a picture/album thingamajigger (how's that for techno-speak? hehe), and nukedgallery is the support site for integrating Gallery into Nuke as a module (which I've done before, and so I'm aware of this site). Was there something on this site mentioning subforums somewhere? Cuz if so, I didn't catch it! You did want want subforums, right...? heh

Err... that links to a version that was uploaded Jan of 2003!

The newest version (with 2.0.11 support) is here:
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=231044

But again, do NOT install this on a Nuke site! It has to be ported....

You would have to port it yourself or pay someone to do it for you.
Personally I don't think it is worth the effort. I have seen some sites use sub forums on the stand alone phpBB forum and find the layout confusing and generally a pain to navigate.
