how use Auto Activation with the Approve Membership mod?

Hello,

I am running phpnuke 7.9, php 5.0.4, mySql 4.1 on a windows 2003 server. What I am wondering, is it possible to use the Auto-Activation
mod along with the [urlhttp://www.ulsoft.scarbridge.co.uk/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1] Approve Membership 7.9 [/url]mod?

The reason for this is that I cannot for the life of me get my stupid server to work with email. I KNOW my provider blocks port 25, so I paid for an alternate port mail forwarder. And then my provider requires authenticated smtp communication, and it doesn't seem to work at all.
I've tried several alteranate mail server apps, and nothing seems to work. I cannot afford exchange.... so with all that said....

I would like to review membership approval, and once approved thier account becomes active immidiatly without me having to send a link activation email.

Is their a way? If so... how and where can I find more info. I am "o.k." in php, but I am not a code writer, so I have no idea where to start...

Ok,

Well I just tried it, and after backing up the to be replaced files, I copied them over, and it's a nogo.

you end up getting a blank white screen. hhmmm.....

Know of any existing hacks that make this work?

i personally always recomend cnb-ya....a replacement for the standard your account module that does more to secure ur site as well as help manage the accounts....it blocks any e-mail string u like(excellent for blockin spammers) and it gives u the choice to turn the mail function on or off.....i personally love it
