I've been trying to find a good download module with the ability to upload for a couple weeks now... I'm using phpnuke 7.8, any suggestions? Everyone here seems to have a general idea of good nuke modules.

First suggestion, don't use 7.7 or higher due to security restrictions.

As for downloads with upload capabilities, I'd suggest either EDL 1.7 or NSN Group Downloads.

To go down to 7.6 can I just replace the files? I can't afford to lose everything I have in my 7.8.

Yeah, I've heard about NSN Group Downloads... though for the life of me I can't find it anywhere. Sad
Any hints? Razz

NSN stands for NukeScripts.Net.

NSN also offers a download script from 7.8 to 7.6. That way, you won't have to lose everything you have in 7.8 because it has serious security problems.

So I have a problem... I did a downgrade from 7.8 to 7.6 with that script. Everything is good except a very important part. The admin page will consistently give me "Access Denied".

When I downgraded I switched all the files over and redid the config.php with the 7.6 one.

What am I doing wrong?

That's usually due to a problem with the version of the patch you're using - or, possibly with CGIAdmin or HTTPAuth. These have to do with securing your admin.php page.

Does a box popup asking you for a password when you try to access your admin.php page? If not, it's probably a patch issue.

Okay this is not a good solution... I want to be able to downgrade to 7.6 so I can have a secure site. Though I can't use the 7.6 files at all... they just break everything.

now heres the kicker...are u absolutley 100% sure that u have overwritten ALL files for the downgrade?

If not I need to see exactly what changed between 7.6 and 7.8....imma grab the upgrade script and find out...then ill let u know which files need to be overwritten.

Yeah I'm 300% sure. I even wiped the directory completely just to make sure.

I have 77-76 then 77-78 upgrade scripts here: http://sharkims.piratekings.net/7.rar

im thinkin like kguske is..im thinkin u downgraded to a patch 3.2 but never patched ur whole site...this is what im thinkin....goto nukeresources.com...get the 7.8 patch to 3.2..fully integrate this...Then try to downgrade to 7.6...i think this may solve ur problems.

Yeah that link was to the language file... I found the most recent version though.

The solution was to install the 7.8 3.2 patched and then downgrade to the 7.6 3.2b patched.
