Why is it that if you log in on the front page you can't go to the Administration Menu and the PHPBB control panel? I am an admin. You have to add /admin.php to your url and then log in. Is that just a "God mode" thing? |

It's just the way Nuke was designed. Admin accounts and user accounts are completely separate. |

I created a topic about this weeks back. I find it annoying too. It should be like on phpBB boards. If you are admin you should at least see the an admin button and then log in there. In nuke you gotta put admin.php in your url. |

No you shouldn´t see an admin login in as anonymus. Back to the roots of phpBB there have been always issues with security and still are and if you read within the German phpBB forums you will find there some older posts about what to do and what to hide to have a more secure system.
I never understood why people use an extra admin login block.Such a thing would be only a great toy for my script-kiddies. |

I don't see a security risk if only admins can see the admin button. No one else can see it. |

If it is a really big problem to type admin.php into the address bar then what you could do is this.
Create a private group for administrators add any users you want as administrators to that group. Then upload an adminstrators login block, similar to the one at Nukescripts mentioned in the other post, and make it viewable only by those in your administrators group. This block will appear to those in that group only when they login.
Before anyone gets confused I am talking about Nuke groups and not phpBB groups, although the Nuke group could double as your administrator/moderator group in phpBB. |

The admin block is a really good solution. Thanks. I'll try this out when I'm done with my forum. |
