Just today It seems that nuke8 hates me.. I can not post to the news section of my page anymore. It just vanishes without a trace. It can be seen in the preview but thats it.

I heard this was a prob with the update but I have not updated anything.

I also turned on errors in the config but im assuming that no errors at the bottom of thea page when ran means no errors. However it is not showing why the post is not being posted.

Someone help please...

Please do not post in two areas at once. Most likely you have a database error but of course since you are using Nuke8 instead of Ravennuke you have no logging for this.

"rinder"??? remedy??

Most likely you have a discrepancy between what your program is expecting for the database and how the database is set up. The dblogging in Ravennuke would show this. Phpnuke would not. If you have upgraded your files lately or done something to the database that could cause the problem.

If Nuke8 hates you:

a. you could upgrade to Ravennuke
b. you could look at recent changes you might have made to Nuke 8 or the tables and try to figure it out.

Error reporting in Nuke8 tells you nothing whatsoever about database errors.

Just a heads up... its anot a database issue its more of a word issue. It does not like the word Union...

and as said before nothing has changed.. but Im sure this will be deleted by an admin but with your attitude bra you need people skills....

I have come here for help in the past and received help but trust me this will be the last time I come here for anything...

Yes, and at 3 in the morning I just tested submitting and posting a news article with the word union in it on the latest Ravennuke. Even signed in as a non-administrative user the article goes through. So the problem has been fixed over the last few releases both of core Ravennuke and Sentinel. Sorry about your perceptions about our attitude. I am sure you get similar support on the PHPnuke forums. We try our best here but we can't overcome or even diagnose (sometimes) the deficiencies of PHPnuke.

fkelly has been more than helpful, especially as there was insufficient information for us to diagnose the problem.

If you search for 'Union and bug' you will find a load of posts discussing this issue as it has been a bug in Nuke for a long time.

As fkelly rightly points out this is fixed in RavenNuke.

I have also had problem with posting the word union in 7.6, but it was in the forums and newsletter. I immediately suspected that is was Sentinel 2.5.13 that tried to block a Union attack.

This is a common misconception, the actual bug is with Nuke. If you do a search there is a post, by fkelly I believe, that fixes the problem.
