URGENT - need a quick fix for my security images not display

My ravennuke site fell victim to simple improper administration (I'm the admin) or that and an outside attack. My security image stopped working a long time ago. I eventually had to shut down new registrations completely, and just allow already-registered users to post.

Now I've upgraded to ravennuke 2.5. I backed up and removed ALL old files, uploaded the new ravennuke 2.5 files, kept the same database, used the database upgrade script, and everything worked for the most part.

To my dismay, the security image still doesn't display. I need to get this working tonight. I'm being interviewed on national TV tomorrow, no idea when they will air it, and I need the site working. So I'm willing to pay for help. It probably won't take too much. But perhaps someone could skype with me, or remote with my machine and help me fix it. I would like to see what was causing the problem of course.

I think it's something easy, but I'm limited on time. I have to run and get a quick haircut, and then I need to get this site working Smile

SOLVED -

The problem was an errant .htaccess file in the /images/ directory.

Then, interestingly enough, after that was deleted the captcha started loading for Palbin but not for me. I found my antivirus - Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 - was preventing the image from loading. I had to add my own website to a trusted list to get it to work.

Maybe this knowledge will come in handy for someone else. Captcha failing to load could be caused by client antivirus.

Now I'm all excited to have a working nuke site again, user registration working, and best of all a new version of ravennuke!!! Just in time to stop the assassinator-in-chief from infringing on the right to keep and bear arms.
