Hey All...
I've got googletap installed on my site and the rewrite rules all seem to be functioning. And most of the dynamic links on the site have updated accordingly - I.E. the links to users profiles are now "tapped"...
http://domain.com/forum-userprofile-2.html
Will take me to my profile. The SITE INFO block reflects these google tapped URL's
However, the links into my forums don't seem to be updating... I.E if I manually type in
http://domain.com/ftopic-1000-0.html
I am taken to the appropriate message thread, however none of the dynamicly generated links into the forums posts are updating correctly. Everything is still linking using old PHPNuke generated URLs like
http://domain.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1000
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help you can offer! |

Give me a link to your site and I'll see what's up.
Usually in your situation it is an htaccess thing. |

Have you sent it yet?
I was in the middle of cleaning out my old PMs and I hope I didn't delete yours in the process. |

Did you upload the GoogleTap folder and all the files in it?
It looks like your .htaccess file is fine but I wonder if you have GT-Forums.php in the GoogleTap folder in your nuke directory? |

Have you updated to 0.4a distribution of GT? |

I thought I had, but apparently I had not.... or did something wrong. I reinstalled it and it seems to be working like a charm! Thanks!!
The only thing not working correctly is the most recent posts block on the main page. The URLs to enter the boards from there are still their native .php links. Do I need to do anything special to that block to get the links there to show their GT rewrites?
Thanks a million Theos! |

You have to convert the block to GT code. You may be able to learn how to do that at the GT site.
I have found that block to be overkill, myself.
Glad I could help you out! |

9 months later, and I'm revisiting this thread.
I've recently done a new install of PHP-Nuke-7.7.RC1.OP with Chatservs patch applied.
Google tap is again not working. with just 0.4 installed, I get the same problem - the rewite URLs in .htaccess are resolving, but the nuke links to modules and such are not being rewritten.
This time I DID do the 0.4a upgrade as TheosEleos suggested; modifying the specified files.
However after changing and uploading the new header.php footer.php and mainfile.php my site will not load any pages - I.E they time out in the browser.
Does anyone have GT-Nextgen 0.4a working on Nuke 7.7 patched? I've google searched for a solution, but I don't see anything that pertains to this particular problem.
Thanks again. |

any ideas on this?? I either need to get this working, or revert back to a previous version of Nuke (which I'd really rather not do.)
I've posted askin at gt-nextgen.com as well, but getting a reply there is the exception, not the rule.
Thanks again! |

I too have experienced this issue. The short urls work when manually entered in the browser, but do not get automatically rewritten. Not sure how to proceed to correct it. |

Hmmm. Careless error on my part. Maybe you made the same. Recheck the edits to your footer.php file. Make sure you didn't make the same edit to your footer as you did to your header.php
I accidently duplicated the header.php edit in my footer.php. After correcting this it works properly. |

sometimes it helps to enable debug from the gt in mainfile.
and quite often the gt files are case they have to be written like the module name
so if your forums module name is Forums then the gt would have to me GT-Forums.
thanks
