Hi all

I am running 7.6 Distro 2.02 and would like to know how I can remove the Votes, Printer Friendly and additional block that appear on the right of the story itself.. Sorry if this is a simple question ut I have been searching for days. Being new to this any help gratefully recieved

Well I have found a way but could someone just verify it for me please
I have just commented the

themesidebox(*********)

Entries out of the modules/News/articles.php

xanadude, you have to be careful here because you also lose your *Edit* function as an admin. You can still edit your news articles, but you will have to know the news ID (nid) of the article to pull it up in the admin tool.

You might want to add something like this so that you still have an edit link somewhere in your ariticle page:

if (is_admin($admin)) {
echo "<a href=\"admin.php?op=EditStory&sid=$sid\">"._EDIT."</a>";
}

I have tested this, but you have to decide where to place it on your page.

I did this some time ago plus a heap of other 'dead' links
See scrolling forum block, user links, plus stuff in forums and other areas.
Many of these only appear when a user is loigged in and are only required in these circumstances
If u keeep the 'read more link u still have access to 'edit on news items (unless this was changed beteeen vers 7.5 and your vers.

Thanks Guys....
I did notice that I lost the edit/delete option but got round it using the story sid number typing it in manually. Thanks for the pointers though
