Our hosting company is driving us absolutely insane...they totally screwed up our php site and they have no idea what they're doing. We've been trying to look at it ourselves, but we don't really know what we're doing either as far as php goes...Everything used to work perfectly except we would get mySQL errors when we had too many visitors at once. We were not exceeding our bandwidth, just couldn't access the php pages. So they decided to switch us to a different server of theirs, and we have had nothing but trouble since. They have NO idea how to fix what they've done, they've been "working on it" for FAR too long now, so....
Would somebody like to take a look at it for us, and let us know how much trouble it would be to fix it?
The main page is at spaceaceonline.com/phpnuke
Here's what's wrong with it:
-The top block (titled "Welcome To Space Ace Online!!!!") is not centered(we know THAT part is simple!), and the links in it don't work.
-We cannot post new stories, and the test stories our hosts tried cannot be edited or deleted by the admin panel!
-We cannot add to other pages of the site either, through the admin panel.
-The stories that are there, the "read more" and "comments" links don't work.
-The poll doesn't work.
-There may be other things that we haven't discovered yet, but that's all the problems that we're aware of at the moment. They did switch us from nuke 7.9 to 7.8, although they insist we never HAD 7.9. (we did, I checked the config file in the database table long before they moved us)
Ideally, we'd like the RavenNuke package installed without losing all of our members, comments, news, etc...but if that's too much of a pain, fixing what we have now would be awesome. We have tried multiple times to fix things, also to add sentinal, and i tried to add the ravennuke to another site of ours, and something always goes wrong. When I find one error I search and find some answers here, but even if I do get that fixed, there's always another one after! The bottom line is I just don't have the time to figure out php coding right now, but we really do need to be able to update our site...we've got to get it fixed....
If anyone is willing to help us out, we would be more than happy to pay you for your time.
Please email if you can help, and we'll send you the login info and anything else you might need.
Many thanks in advance!
