Ok... original topic locked... rightly so. But I have to wonder (as I sometimes do) why we'd continue to call this a fork. Why not a spoon? Or actually, the way we're talking... and since this won't really and truly be a nuke any more... why not a Vege-A-Matic?
Code:It SLICES! It DICES! It makes JULIENNE FRIES!

My opinion is that the project is now far beyond a "fork" and is becoming an altogether new animal. Is this how the spork was born? Picnic dining was never the same afterward.
Less of a portal and more of a CMS. This is good. Way too many portals and not all of them very good. Kinda like portal potties.
The project is shaping up into what sounds like will become a very big deal. A compartmentalized structure that would be useful to someone with a personal site with rather simple content needs as well as the more complex site requiring additional and advanced functionality. All by plugging in that additional functionality to a predictably stable core.
I'm excited. |

I stopped calling it a fork early on, actually I just never changed the title. Actually, now that I look at it, the title is really descriptive. It asks the question "to fork or not to fork ...." and I have answered it - NO! |

ok so when the project heats up do we call it a thermo-nuke?
nah... that'd still imply a nuke. We could emulate the Jetsons and call it a CMS-a-rack-a-cycle.
or.... to imply fluid connectivity to a cetral high-powered device.....
HYDRANT CMS!
Many headed CMS? HYDRA CMS!
too much thinking.... I am still partial to veg-a-matic

I fear my humor is lost on you, Raven.
Oh.... wait... what's that you say?.... what do you mean, "What humor?"
ok.... I can take a hint. See what happens when you have way too much time on your hands at work?

Just wanted to drop a word about this. I am glad you are starting this up. I probably trust your code more than anyone elses online. I will be watching in anticipation.
I hope it will be easy to go from nuke to Raven-Nuke. |

I'm afraid to migrate to anything Raven hasn't fixed, and even then I want him to hold my hand....... |
