I just installed a fresh load of Raven's distro.
Everything went smooth.
I searched for this problem but foudn only vague comparisons, and no solutions.
After installing, I can access Nuke Admin, Forums Admin and everythign looks ok...except, the type of Post option when creating a new topic is not there.
Normal, Sticky, or Announcement do not show up.
So I went to my Nuke Forums admin and under User permissions "tried" to set my user status from User to Admin. This setting wont change. I am still a user.
So I went to look at my database and my user_level is 3?? So I set it to 2 and all is well, but this is NO solution. |

Yes I do after I have altered my user_level in the database. It WAS 3, and I made it 2 which is what it is supposed to be.
The problem is that the Forum Admin User permissions is will not let you change a users status from User to Admin or Admin to User... |

Admin?
you mean moderator?
Huh..
you cant create admins in your forum nor such a status.
you can only look up forums and look up members, then you can set them as moderator. |

Go to Forums admin, then click Permissions under Users.
Bring up a username and in the top left is a drop down where you can change from User to Admin..this function DOES NOT WORK. |

Hiya, just wanted to let know that I have the exact same issue.
Fresh Raven 2.02.02 distribution with little tweaks, but with a former phpbb database patched to bbtonuke. A couple of users were already set as Administrators, but I can't make any others to administrators or revert those that were Administrators to just Users. |

Did anyone find a solution to this as I have the exact same problem, a fresh install, with a former phpbb user table converted. I would really appreciate some help as its doing my head in ![Shocked](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif) |

This may be from left field, but I seem to remember when I first installed RN 2.02.02 that it put all new users in a group and that caused some problems for me kinda like you are having, I went in and deleted all groups and that fixed the problem.
Look to see if the user is in any groups and remove them or the group and see if that works.
Wish I could remember better what happened but it was months ago. |
