Nuke Treasury v1.1 doesn't display Donate-O-Meter. I believe I've done everything right through the install but it just isn't displaying the block. I have PHP-Nuke 7.8 installed. |

Welcome. What is displayed where you expect the block to be? |

The block just isn't there. I uploaded all the files to their proper places. In the Blocks section of the admin panel it just isn't listed and isn't displayed on the main page. |

And have you refreshed your browser? |

I uploaded every file in the NukeTreasury2006\NukeTreasuryV1.1.1\US\html folder to it's appropriate place. I don't want to go type out each file name, but I can guarantee I did everything right during install. Yes, I've refreshed the browser. |

darklord is asking because it's very unusual that the block file isn't listed in blocks administration. That indicates a problem with blocks administration not recognizing the file - unless it hasn't been uploaded.
The block files have a special naming format, and there should only be a few files in the html/blocks directory for the NukeTreasury download. Can you verify that these are loaded in the blocks directory on your Nuke site? If so, you should be able to see those in the block file drop down in blocks administration. |

There is one other possibility. Is this a RavenNuke76 2.02.00 distro or have you installed NSN Groups to your nuke site? The RavenNuke76 2.02.02 patch has a fix for this issue if you are running RN that is... If you are not running RN and you have installed NSN Groups, you may have missed something in the install.
If none of the above applies, then just ignore this post. |

Thanks, montego. Hadn't thought about that. But if something was missed in the install, it would have to be that the blocks files were uploaded to the blocks directory, no? |

Could be, but there is also a bug in what was done with NSN Groups in RN initially. I know that I posted the fix here awhile back, but have to run...
What I was referring to about the "install" was the install of NSN Groups, not Nuke Treasury. NSN Groups messes with the nuke_blocks table and if the edits to admin/blocks.php (I think that's the file?) were not done right, it causes this issue too. It was just another thing to consider. |

Like kguske said, I asked because I wanted to verify that what was uploaded to the blocks folder was a block indeed, this is very unussual and has not been a problem I personally have encountered before and wanted to get the basics out of the way.
So what file(s) were uploaded to the blocks folder? |

I haven't installed RavenNuke or NSN Groups. The block file is 'block-Donat_o_Meter.php' and I have just verified that, yes, it is uploaded and in it's proper directory. I haven't installed much of anything on my Nuke 7.8 install, the only thing I've really done is add a couple little blocks and changed the name of the admin file. |

try changing the name of the admin file back to admin.php
other then that I cant see why this is happening and you may need to let someone into your site to look at somethings. |

The block file doesn't call to admin.php at all and I changed the call to admin.php in all the other files already.That wouldn't affect it. |

Under a normal installation with what your talking about, this problem should not be occuring, upload any backup that you have. |

Well, I have no backups as I just started adding modules. All I've done up to this point is the design and a little bit of content. I added a couple other random things but had no issues with them, which should narrow it down to the specific Nuke Treasury module. But, if I have to reinstall I just won't bother with Nuke Treasury. It's not that important to me, I'll just look for another donation module. |

ok, Lets review.
You've added blocks before with your current setup.
That tells me that the blocks function is working correctly.
now your going to add nuke treasury to the mix.
Heres my problem with all that,
When the blocks-admin finds blocks, it searches for a file name that holds a certain criteria, it does not search the contents of the file. so unless something was done to the admin/modules/blocks.php file, this is making absolutley no sense.
One other thing comes to mind that possibly causing your problem, in the left blocks, Is there anything new since you made your last block or have you made any file edits. I'm grasping for somethin that yells out conflict.
One more thing, turning errors on in config.php might help. |

Not to add fuel to the fire, but why are you using 7.8? If it's a new site with little content, I'd suggest installing RN 7.6 (because it's relatively powerful, easy and secure) or any other 7.6 distribution. RN installation is very straightforward and includes some of the trickier modifications (e.g. NukeSentinel, NSN Groups, etc.) preinstalled.
7.8 has few added benefits over 7.6, but several significant disadvantages (primarily being weaker security). |

darklord: Here's a list of everything I have installed:
2 custom blocks - a 'vote for the site' block and a 'links' site to display small image links. Both are on the right side.
4 new modules - NukeSentinel, NukeTreasury, PJIRC chat module and a server status module for an Ultima Online server.
Some content pages.
admin/modules/blocks.php is unmodified. I checked for any calls to admin.php (incase it needed the filename changed) but there wasn't any in it.
I'll turn errors on and see what I can find out.
kguske: I read something about a tool to downgrade the site to 7.6 but I don't want to take the chance that I have to re-do everything. I could, I suppose, if I had to. I've read about the issues with 7.8 but as I said, I've just not wanted to downgrade. |

I've just installed the Nuke Treasury v1.1 on my php-nuke 7.8 patched 3.2b.
Everything looks fine. The block is OK and all the config panel has been done. The only think I couldn't do is to activate the module into the modules in control panel. The new treasury module just don;t appear for me to activate.
The "Donations" direcory was created under /modules but still i can't see it trhough the admin control panel.
What is causing this? |

It should be added when you go through Modules in your admin panel. If not, please use phpMyAdmin and post the structure of your modules table here |

If your site is 'patched' you might also want to try changing the block file code, change Code:if (eregi("block-Donat_o_Meter.php",$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'])) {
Header("Location: index.php");
die();
}
| to
Code:if ( !defined('BLOCK_FILE') ) {
Header("Location: ../index.php");
die();
}

Guardiam,
Yes my site is "patched" and what this change you proposing will do for the block?
EDIT: I just realized one more thing after Evaders asked to post the mofuels table structure. The "Donations" module is also not into the modules DB. I actually don;t know what makes php-nuke to add the new created directory into the modules DB but the fact is it's not there.
Also i just made a test now creating two more directories under my MODULES and again nothing appears on the modules list and nothing get updated in the modules table, so i must be something missing on my installation that when I added a new module it does not get loaded.
The only modules i had are the ones that came with php-nuke. No new module is being picked-up by my installation |

You have a column 'wysig_status' that is not used in 7.8, looks like it was from the WYSIWYG tweak. Delete it and see if it solves your problem |

My GURU
It indeed worked but you have any idea why I had that field there?
By the way what is the WYSIWYG you mentioned?
Thanks, a lot. |

The WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor is included in 7.7 and higher. A tweak was made to turn it off for specific modules, but that requires the table change to the modules table as you had it. My guess is that tweak is no longer installed, so you should be okay with your current setup. |
