Post Dating A New Article Submission

I have searched the forums but cannot seem to find an answer to my latest problem.

This matter refers to the information at the foot of a news article posting, where it says something like, 'Posted by Raven on Tuesday, July 25 @ 19:49:07 CDT.'

The articles and stories that are posted on my website MUST have the date which the article refers to, (eg an article may be about how an event on New Years Eve went), displayed with them.

However, I may sometimes author the article a day later which means the date displayed as the posting date is incorrect for the actual article. Also, it is very possible that before I post my article, someone else may have authored and submitted another article, but I want mine to appear before this one chronologically.

So my question is simplly, how can I change the date (and time) on an article I wish to submit, so that it is back/post dated?

Is the solution as simple as this simple, question? Shocked

There isn't a programmed way to do this. But you can always manipulate the data via an SQL tool like phpMyAdmin.

I am using the phpmyadmin tool for administering my database. please can you explain how I can acomplish and acheive what i want to do?
